Weddings at Llanerch Vineyard

A truly wonderful stay. We booked the package including dinner and the Wine Tasting experience. After checking in we instantly wished we’d booked to stay for longer.
Our room with a countryside view was fantastic and a great place to unwind and relax.

We’d love to stay again.

Came here for my birthday and it didn’t disappoint. It was my first time here and the location is lovely, food was really nice and service was brilliant. The waiting staff were also really good. Looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

Very, very nice restaurant inside a vineyard. Superb preparation of food, and exceptional service by the friendly staff. The venue itself is comfortable and professionally fitted out with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a patio and the vineyard fields. Prices are very reasonable for a 5 star experience and service is timely without being rushed or stressful in any way. Warmly recommended.

Venue is in a beautiful setting. Rooms for the price are basic, furniture was flimsy, the coffee sectional was ok, and no air conditioning fan is provided.

Rooms were very clean, and plenty of towels were provided.

Not enough outside seating available with cover when it's hot.

I was not a fan of the wine had to add lemonade to make it palatable, I'm by no means a wine drinker so for some this would have been a good wine. Soft drinks were extortionate.

Some staff were lovely and very helpful. I encountered 2 staff members who seemed like they were having a bad day, their customer service skills were lacking.

Breakfast was okay, some of the cooked breakfast was warm not sure if it's worth the £20 price tag, didn't approach the staff member as they gave me the impression they didn't want to be helpful. However, a 2nd staff member at breakfast had excellent customer service I wished they had greeted me.

Would I visit again probably not.

Lovely restaurant setting - lovely polite staff however service long, over an hour wait for food! Then steak was tough and overcooked. Not the first experience of poor quality food at this venue.

First time at Llanerch Vineyard Restaurant and it is such a lovely place to eat we had Lunch.
Service is excellent, Staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions regarding the Menu. We ate inside but went outside to see the Grape Vines and take the air. Lots of outdoor seating you can sit at to enjoy the lovely views. It is a lovely place to be.

Hotel review: Bed was OK and the room was quiet enough. Our room was spacious with two bathrooms. However every window had privacy glass so you could not look out onto anything (it would have been a view of a roof), which made one feel confined. One window was inoperable and couldn’t be closed, which caused noise from wind gusts.
There is nothing else in the nearby vicinity so you probably will be eating on premises, which wasn’t a positive experience (lunch) for us. (See restaurant review.)

Beautiful venue and lovely wine! Visited for the afternoon to do the taster session, have food and stay the night. Vicky was fabulous, very knowledgeable and very friendly! Really enjoyed her class. The restaurant was also lovely, great atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was nice and came quickly. I know it’s a family friendly venue but I’m not sure bringing kids here is fair on them. There’s nothing for them here to do and they were disruptive not only during meal time but they were in the room above us in the hotel. Very loud up until 11pm and then again at 6am which really spoilt the experience for us.

The food is absolutely stunning, it has been the best lamb and duck, I've ever had and their own wines pair perfectly. It's not only the flavours but also you can taste the quality and freshness of the food. It's a hidden gem of South Wales, love it!

Booked an afternoon tea for my mums birthday, love the Roots restaurant at Llanerch vineyard, we’ve never had a bad meal there. The afternoon tea is really nicely presented and it tastes pretty good too. They are very generous with the portions, I had to take some of the cakes home as there were too many but this is such a good problem to have! Definitely recommend

An incredible stay at Llanerch. We brought our dog along with us and she was welcomed throughout the stay as much as we were. All the staff are attentive and welcoming and provide outstanding service.
We loved it here and would very much love to return

Afternoon Tea experience (with sparkling prosecco) was very relaxing, very tasty and surprisingly filling. Beautiful grounds and they keep making improvements every year (in off wedding season obviously). Gents afternoon tea option would be welcome? I have great memories of Llanerch vineyard when i was young and it was just a farmhouse with a promising vineyard start up. I used to swim in the outdoor pool at the back of the house and help with a Barbecue afterward. I remember the massive juicy beef tomatoes from the greenhouse. So tasty. Mr Andrews the owner at the time was a kind and generous man. I hope he is still well. His knowledge set the start of what is there now which has been expanded greatly. A wonderful peaceful place. Haven't stayed in a room yet but hoping to at some point soon.

Don’t take your children here!

I visited Llanerch over the weekend with a friend and our one-year-old children and, sadly, left feeling thoroughly unwelcome.

We arrived around 5pm and were told the kitchen didn’t open until 6pm. Fair enough, but when we asked if anything could be prepared earlier (as advised by staff), we were met with a blunt “come back at 6”. With a wriggling toddler in my arms and the bar area packed with drinkers, I politely asked if I could place an order in advance. The front-of-house staff looked at me as if I’d just sworn at them — they eventually took my order very reluctantly.

Trying to get a drink at the bar proved equally frustrating. Despite clearly struggling with a child in one arm, the barmen ignored me completely. I gave up and returned to the room to wait for food service to begin.

At 6:15pm, we returned to the (completely empty) restaurant to sit and wait for our food. The waitress brought our meals and then said she’d have to “check if we were allowed to sit there”. No high chairs were offered, so we started feeding our hungry children on our laps. Moments later, the same waiter who had taken our order came over and told us we’d have to leave — apparently children weren’t allowed in the restaurant due to other guests. Despite every table being empty, we were told to sit outside. We ended up feeding our toddlers on the grass.

Feeling humiliated, we didn’t return to the restaurant that evening. We instead spoke with reception, explained what had happened, and asked if we could order food to the room. The receptionist acknowledged our experience but offered little apology or attempt to make amends — just handed us menus and told us we could order until 9pm.

We placed our room service order at 8pm, and after a 75-minute wait, it finally arrived — with no sauces, or condiments. We had to go back to the restaurant ourselves just to get ketchup. The food itself was decent (thankfully, given the price), but the next morning we were shocked to see a 10% room service charge added to our bill — which we were never informed about. I asked if this could be waived in light of our experience but was told no one had the authority to do so.

In summary: Llanerch is a snooty, overpriced venue with very poor customer service and zero regard for families. If you’re thinking of bringing children here — don’t. You’ll leave feeling unwelcome, frustrated, and completely let down.

Booked for an afternoon tea, was seated in a chair that was too small, was very uncomfortable, and asked to be moved to another booth style seat. Was refused, even though the room was empty, so had to rush through the event due to the pain caused as had to perch on end of seat. Asked to see the manager at the end, and was offered a free drink, felt dismissed by him and the vineyard. Very disappointed will not be returning and have emailed the owner of the vineyard to let them know about the shocking disregard for their customer's comfort. And I can't believe in this day and age you should be treated and shamed like this.

We enjoyed a Sunday lunch here today at Llanerch Vineyard, the staff were all extremely friendly and courteous, a special mention to Chiara who was our main waitress. The food was delicious and the venue excellent. We enjoyed a coffee outside on the terrace after our lunch. We will definitely return.

A beautiful venue for a wedding, arrived to prepare hair & makeup for our bride and her bridal party for her special day.
Beautiful preparation room, but the lighting for makeup could be better, we brought our own light rings, knowing there was no natural light for application.

Please could I start by saying that this is the first negative review I have ever written—but I feel compelled to share my experience, as I am genuinely very upset.

I tried to book Afternoon Tea for two at Llanerch Vineyard last week. The phone line was initially busy, but I eventually got through to a very polite gentleman. He explained that he didn’t work directly in the restaurant but kindly offered to take my request (Afternoon Tea for two this Saturday at 2pm), said he would try to book it for me, and promised to call me back. I never received a follow-up.

I rang again today to check. A lady answered, and when I began to explain the situation, she immediately cut me off and said I must be lying, insisting they are not permitted to take bookings in that way. I was taken aback—it’s extremely upsetting to be called a liar when I was simply repeating what I’d been told.

Despite this, I asked if there was still availability for Saturday, which there was. I proceeded to book and mentioned that one of us is both gluten and dairy free. I was told they could only accommodate one dietary requirement, not both. I politely mentioned that I had visited just a few months ago and had been served a delicious gluten and dairy free Afternoon Tea. She curtly told me that “things have changed” and then hung up on me. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service.

I was nothing but polite throughout and simply trying to make a booking. I had been looking forward to returning to Llanerch Vineyard, but after today, I will not be returning—and sadly cannot recommend it to others.

My wife & I selected Llanerch to host our wedding which took place a little over a week ago. From the open day, through to the wedding planning meetings, down to the big day itself, everything ran perfectly. The staff at Llanerch were on hand and responsive to every request.

Special thank you to Claire for all the work that went into the build up to our big day. It could not have gone any better.

All of our wedding guests had nothing but positives to say about the ceremony venue, reception food/drinks over looking the vineyard and the wedding breakfast itself.

We will, no doubt, return for a wine tasting tour/overnight stay.

We booked this for a 25th Wedding anniversary meal and we weren’t disappointed!
We had exceptional food, wine and service. We weren’t rushed and were really able to enjoy our visit there. Would 100% recommend and will be returning for our anniversary next week 🫶

This is a beautiful place. Great hotel, very nice suite with great views of the vineyard. Very interesting and enjoyable wine tasting session. Superb lunch and service. Good bar too. Highly recommended.

Given Sunday lunch for 2 as a Christmas present but meal was a complete let down.

No starters, and main meals and veg arrived cold and tastless. These were quickly replaced but new meals were just
the same but warm. Meals not finished.

Was asked to let a friend know of my experience as they were considering the venue for a family meal later this year for a group of 50.

Told them not to bother and look elsewhere.

On a positive, staff service was excellent.

Family meal at the restaurant only, hence can't comment on the rooms.
The restaurant was beautiful with great views across the vineyards.
The meal was lovely, no complaints at all. Service was a bit slow but it is borderline fine dining. Unfortunately one server didn't know which cutlery went where but we got it sorted in the end.
I would go back.

We had our wedding here on 1st March & it was perfect.
The team were amazing, Claire, Clara and Hannah, thank you all so much!
The day run seamlessly, there were always plenty of staff on hand but without if feeling like there were constantly people pushing the timings etc. it was never a worry that I (or anyone else) wouldn’t in the right place at the right time.
There wasn’t an event the day before so we were able to set up and then add finishing touches on the day. There’s a storage room that you have access to for anything that’s needed, which includes a fridge for the cake.

Before the day we attended quite a few open days to show various family members around. There are staff members at each area but you’re free to wander around, compared to other open days we attended I preferred this style as we could look at everything and take our time.
The day work well for everyone, young and old.

Tried Llanerch for the first time today. 4 of us having lunch, 3 courses, drinks, bottle of good wine, and a cocktail. £235, fair price for the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service from the waiter was very good. 3 hours flew by. I'll be back.

Stayed 1 night for business meeting. Very large and luxurious room with fill width opening window and great view. Had dinner with 4 colleagues, sampled their own wines. Food and wine were excellent. Overall a superb hidden gem.

Stunning restaurant with beautifully prepared food. Really appreciated the vegan optional dishes - and the attentive service.
Also thrilled to stay overnight for the first time and be given a room with wonderful views. Everything was spotless, smart and professional. Diolch!

Hi we came today for afternoon tea to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. Food amazing, cakes to die for savoury’s were lush to. Highly recommend. The staff were friendly attentive and nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be returning. This was our first time here and couldn’t fault it.

Just returned from an awesome overnight stay here. Really loved on all fronts. Highly recommend.

I cannot speak more highly of Llanerch Vineyard. Yesterday we visited for Festive Lunch and everything about it was excellent. The welcome and service were delightful and the menu offered a good choice. I chose the delicious vegetarian mushroom Wellington. When the food arrived - perfect timing - it was beautifully presented and very tasty indeed. My guest really enjoyed a Llanerch wine. Our dog was made very welcome too by both staff and guests. Thank you for making a birthday special!

Had an afternoon tea in the garden view room, which is next door to the restaurant.
It was superb. The finger sandwiches and dessert treats were so tasty. The service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Ours was the festive version, which came with some savouries. Looking forward to trying the summer version in the near future.

This was our first time staying at Llanerch Vineyard and it was wonderful! We stayed in a courtyard room which was so spacious, clean and comfortable.

We had an evening meal at the restaurant which was out of this world! The service and food in the restaurant was 5*. It had a lovely atmosphere!

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side to explore much of the grounds but we definitely want to return in Spring/Summer for a Vineyard tour.

Excellent all round. The quality of the complex is very high, the rooms clean and welcoming. The food and service all excellent. Wine tasting very good and informative. The only shame you couldn't see the wine making as this is done off site.

Wow, absolutely incredible! I have a dairy allergy and wow do they cater for allergies. I have never been to a restaurant and been so catered for. The food was absolutely incredible, the only difference between the normal roast and dairy free is a Yorkshire pudding! Our server Reece was the best waiter I have ever had. He was ever so accommodating, extremely friendly and efficient - everything you could ever want from a server. Thank you Reece and Llanerch! Will be back again soon. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Selected Llanerch for a corporate experience for 18 colleagues. We had afternoon tea, vinyard tour and dinner, we all stayed overnight with breakfast the following morning prior to departure. Everything was amazing, service was excellent throughout. Jo was our vinyard tour guide and she really was entertaining. The bedrooms were amazing, the view even better. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something different and special. Top class, and thank you to the reception staff for being there to answer all my questions and help create such an amazing and memorable experience.

Just tried to book afternoon tea and the woman who was on the phone has got no manners whatsoever. Absolutely disgusting attitude and even put the phone down without saying goodbye.

Wouldn’t waste my time or money, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This is the third time I have popped into book a table and not booked due to unhelpful staff. I wanted to book for people who are partially deaf so wanted a quieter corner. I understand that it is an open restaurant but having a table in a corner is very different to being in the middle when you have hearing loss. I was told THREE times quite dismissively that “it’s a Saturday and it is busy, everywhere is busy on a Saturday!” I didn’t ask for a non busy restaurant, I simply asked for a corner table which would be quieter. A little understanding, a smile and support would have been lovely. Llanerch please train your staff in customer service skills and knowledge of disabilities!

Amazing wine - beer and rooms. Incredible.
Terrible and over priced breakfast. They sold it well to me saying it’ll be 15 if I book in advance or 25 the morning of.
Breakfast 1 was a full English and typical cheap hotel ingredients or just horribly over cooked. Disappointing for a well established hotel as this.
Second breakfast was avocado toast. No seasoning, one bit of bread, two eggs (due to request)
At least salt, pepper, maybe some lemon?
Everything was amazing but the breakfast was awful.

Amazing parking - amazing rooms - amazing atmosphere in the evenings in the bar. I didn’t have the opportunity to have dinner there unfortunately but if it was anything like the breakfast I wasn’t missing out.

Excellent excellent venue. I went here on a voucher with my wife as a wedding gift. I was initially dubious about the venue but on arrival I was blown away at the standard of their rooms and the restaurant. Which was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed a meal there which is akin to the highest standard steakhouses around Cardiff. The Bill was more than reasonable!

Only thing that's missing from this place is a Spa area. Nothing massive. But it's clearly missing. Hence the 4 star rather than 5 star.

What a lovely evening. Restaurant showcases the best of Welsh food, wine and hospitality.
Each course was perfection. Support this and try their wines, surprisingly good.
Well worth a visit

We cannot comment upon the rooms or the service since we made only a flying 'recce' visit and did not eat nor drink nor stay.
The place seems exceptionally well designed, managed and maintained, especially by U.K. standards!
However the take-away wine prices were VERY high: the lowest was £20 per bottle!!! So much so that we did not buy any because the Tasting Lodge was closed and we were unable to sample any.

Stunning venue, friendly staff. Sunday lunch experience was epic, just enough of everything leaving contented. The first meal in mamu years which I added neither salt or pepper too. A perfectly balanced meal from starter to dessert.

Very nice gaff, staff lovely and helpful on arrival. The room was nice with all the amenities you'd expect.
The only thing I can moan at is that I found this with loads of accommodation. Staff don't like cleaning shower heads, jets blocked with mould

Party of 5 visited today. Best fillet steak I have ever tasted cooked to perfection. The Pinot noir limited edition was perfect, if you could drink velvet this is what it would taste like. Service was amazing, would highly recommend.

My mum and I have stayed here for two nights, whilst seeing Pink in Cardiff. The stay, room, breakfast was exceptional.
The staff, from reception (Liz) , dining, the owner and everyone else is unbelievable. We had an issue with our keys being locked in the car, and three of the staff had gone above and beyond in a way which cements that kindness from strangers is truly beautiful.
We’re so thankful for the wonderful experience and can’t wait to be back. (Not even home and already planning our next visit - if you’re considering this place please just go 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟)

Stayed here for 4 nights. Ate in the restaurant every breakfast and dinner. Peaceful, yet in an ideal location to be visiting friends and sightseeing in various parts of South Wales. Easy access to Motorway. Will definitely be staying here again when I am back in South Wales.

Cannot believe this place is in Wales. Felt like we were abroad. Amazing food and the wine tasting tour with Jo was fantastic. (Bet she was glad to see the back of us 🤣🤣 only joking ) Thank you to all the team at Llanerch Vineyard.

Had a lovely afternoon tea there with my friend for our birthdays. Everything was well presented and tasted amazing. The whole place is just beautiful and staff are brilliant 🥰

We enjoyed Afternoon Tea as a special gift. Very good quality food and service.
However, this was let down by poor crockery. Cups need urgently replacing. Their badly worn glaze reminiscent of that you'd expect in a Transport Cafe!

I have photographed quite a few weddings at Llanerch Vineyard now, and it does not disappoint. The grounds are stunning, and both the ceremony room and marquee are ideal spaces for the guests to be able to take in the views and enjoy the day. The staff are very attentive and on hand to ensure the day runs smoothly. I'd definitely recommend it if you are looking for a great wedding venue.

Nice hotel overall, however more of a 4 star experience.

Room: Lovely view, comfy bed, well equipped but lacking in a few areas.
Our iron was burnt/black at the bottom, luckily I noticed this before ironing my shirt, also our bathroom was a bit smelly.
Front of house staff were a little grumpy.
Restaurant: Staff were superb, attentive and very professional.

Recommended improvement:
Seeing as this is a vineyard hotel, a complimentary bottle of wine for the room would be a really nice touch, and pretty common place for every other 5 star hotel I've stayed in.
This wouldn't cost the business alot and would go a long way for the guest experience.

Took my husband for afternoon tea for his birthday. The whole experience was lovely “lush” as they say here in Wales. The food was delicious and as an extra treat, they brought my husband out a cup cake with a candle and ‘happy birthday’ written in chocolate. Would definitely recommend

We ended up here purely by chance. We tried another venue which was fully booked and ghe staff were quite rude, so I did a quick Google search and spotted this little gem 💎. Lovely drive, ample of parking, beautiful ground and seating areas. Discovered up until recently they only prodand sold their wine on site but they now sell online. Staff were very polite and professional, food was cooked to perfection. My partner is a chef and if he's impressed it says something. Tried 2 different wines and very enjoyable. If you want a lovely experience look no further.

Here is a list of nice things it has: rooms, bar, restaurant, grounds. AND it was dog friendly, which was nice as the grounds are lovely. There's a little lake and it's all just VERY, VERY PLEASANT. The fact it's about 45 centimetres off the M4 is also very handy.

So in short, go there. It's VERY NICE.

A one night stay prior to a meeting, really comfy bed, nice modern and well laid out rooms. The coffee with breakfast hit my sweet spot, the eggs were pretty nice too.

My daughter and I had a super lunch here. Lovely staff, lovely outlook, lovely food. Will definitely go again. What a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours relaxing, eating and chatting. And we came away completely full!

Absolutely stunning place and one of the nicest afternoon teas we've had to date .. fabulous service, and nothing was too much trouble and well worth the money we paid .. absolutely loved it .. they even came out with a little cup date with a candle in and a Happy birthday on the plate .. very thoughtful ❤️

Visited Llanerch today for the Wine tasting experience followed by Sunday lunch. Jack our host for the Wine tasting experience was brilliant, he was welcoming, funny, knowledgeable about the wines and Vine yard.
The 3 course Sunday lunch was one of the best I've had 😊, food and service was amazing. Will definatley be returning soon 😊.

The check in experience after a long drive was a bit disappointing. There were 2 ladies on the front desk. One of them was more than a little indifferent; not rude, but not exactly friendly or welcoming, as you might expect of front of house staff whose job it is to greet guests.

The dog friendly room we had was nice. Clean, modern and very good size. The dog got a bed, towels, bowls and a pack of dog food. The bathroom was an accessible one, which we did not ask for, but was not a problem. Just a few extra bits which were not necessary for us and made it more cluttered than it needed to be. The toiletries were limited to shower gels and hand wash. My wife noted the lack of body lotion which was a disappointment as she forgot to bring hers.

We had the wine and dine package which included dinner. Service was great and the dining room was very nice. However, some of the dishes were a bit bland and lacked depth or complexity of flavour. We ate there for 2 consecutive nights so got to try most of the dishes. The mulled wine cured salmon starter had no salmon taste. The halibut poached in red wine, whilst a decent sized portion, was also pretty flavourless and looked a little off putting with its red brown colour. The mushroom tagliatelle was OK, but the pasta was a little over done. The rump steak portion was a little small. You can see they are trying to give a good selection with the desserts, but the execution and results are somewhat lacking. We tried the chocolate orange, the pear tart, the Mont Blanc and the baked Alaska. The restaurant aspires to be 5 star, but is not quite reaching that level yet. I hope it will do so in the future as I really want to like this place.

We also did the wine tasting. The chap was knowledgeable and friendly. Only got to try 3 wines and a gin. Would have been nice to be able to try more.

Overall a decent experience. We were told they are looking to expand the resort over time with additional amenities, including a spa. Would like to come back at some point to see how things evolve, especially the restaurant.

We visited here a few years old as a possible wedding venue. It’s was nice but didn’t tick all the boxes for us. Fast forward 5 years later and there has been a major upgrade here and the hotel and restaurant is excellent. We had a great stay were the room was spacious and clean. The bar area was nice with friendly staff. There is loads of room here for a wedding now plus wine tasting and more. Very much a recommended place to stay and eat at.

Had Sunday lunch off the three course special lunch. Food was very nice with service to match. Unfortunately the table, seat and surrounding flooring area were not very clean, with mop pieces jammed under the chairs. Plus very long hairs on the seats opposite us. Food was up to the standard set by the hotel, the cleanliness was not.

Attended a "Wine Tasting Experience" @ Llanerch Vineyard - thoroughly enjoyed it & would highly recommend.
Our "guide" was extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the wine making here & made his "talk" very interesting, & funny at times.
We were "taught" how to appreciate wine before we even tasted it. Firstly we had to smell it, then swirl it round to let in the air then take a sip. A White wine was first, followed by a Blush then a Sparkling Wine.
After our 1st sip, we swirled it again then took another sip & appreciated how different our 2nd sip was from the 1st. Another swirl then we finished the 1st sample.
The Blush was given the same experience then the Sparkling Wine.
There were approx 20 in our group (the chat taking place indoors), however we did go outside briefly (due to weather not for long) where the growing process was explained.
Our Guide was an expert at his tour speech, making us all feel at ease 10/10 for him.
A very pleasant afternoon

Had lunch for 5 people. It’s a lovely place and good access for disabled. Restaurant is bright and airy with great view of vineyard. Table offered good and comfortable space.
Had set lunch menu £30.00 for starter and main. Food and portions were good. Mixed mushrooms on toast were great but came with surprising but lovely poached egg!
Service was efficient and polite. Some may feel a bit on the cold side.
There is an optional 10% service charge on the bill but the “Optional” is not that clear. Only made clear to me when I asked if there was a service charge. It was even charged on drinks from the bar.
Overall a very nice experience.

This was a wonderful gift from my siblings. Me and my partner enjoyed every aspect of our stay. From the spacious superlative room , cooperative staff and delicate tasty food. As an added bonus we participated in the wine tasting event sampling the fruits of their labour, and I am assured their wine is a titan amongst welsh produce and which all should partake.

Just spent one night during a weekend break to Wales but wish we'd just spent the whole weekend here! What a beautiful place!

We did the wine tasting in the afternoon on arrival (the host was lovely), then spent the afternoon enjoying more of the wine on the deck overlooking the vineyard. Luckily the sun came out for us!

The rooms are large, luxurious and modern. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back and can see it becoming an annual destination.

We had afternoon tea today for four people and wanted to submit a compliment for Jamelia our server. She was so friendly, efficient and really looked after us well. I broke a glass and she came and cleared everything up immediately with no fuss and a fantastic attitude. Thanks for a lovely day in gorgeous surroundings. Not to mention the food itself was high quality, dainty cakes, fresh scones and sandwiches and a great warm savoury selection.

We visited for the wine tasting experience and have a very fun time, Jack is super engaging and the length of the tour is ideal. It’s very good value for money. We also stayed for a glass of wine wine in the garden after and the service, surroundings and wine were all great!

Beautifully laid out and with a wonderful view. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite which just added to our amazing experience.

I went for lunch with work colleagues, he knows the owner I think. The food is nice portions and tastes amazing.... about 30 to 40 for a two course lunch. In lovely surroundings nothing seems off limits for walking around. Restaurant is nicely presented with great views of the vine's. It's dog friendly inside and outside.

Amazing Sunday lunch. Good choice of starters, perfectly cooked, succulent beef and delicious desserts. Would also recommend trying their wines! Now planning to return for dinner!

Beautiful location, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The king size beds and pillows were lovely and clean. My only criticism would be the fact there was no English breakfast tea bags in the room, despite quite the variety of tea and coffee in the lovely little display above the mini fridge. A lovely stay in beautiful surroundings outside and inside.

Our stay was bought as a wedding gift. We had a vineyard tour and wine tasting and Jack was fantastic. Funny, knowledgeable and very caring to his crowd! We then checked into our room and it was spacious, very clean, comfortable and cool given it was 27 degrees outside.
Dinner was faultless. The 3 course menu was fantastic and Scarlett the waitress was more than accommodating, chatty and informative of the menu. Absolutely brilliant. Give her a raise!

The visit at LIanerch vineyard was as part of a fantastic wedding reception with friends. A brilliant backdrop and area. A huge marquee set up for weather conditions. A wide range of food in a buffet set up , with plentiful choice of refreshments available. Personally I didn't stay the night. Would recommend a visit. Hopefully come back to try some wine tasting.

Expecting an upscale vineyard hotel family lunch. The weather meant the lovely outside terrace couldn't be used so very busy inside but we had a table booked in the restaurant. Choice of adventurous starters and pub menu mains for £30, sides additional, steak +£10. Dessert menu & coffee. Wines were nice, service friendly, food disappointing. A pity when we'd all travelled for a meet-up and a nice lunch together.

We had a lovely meal and the staff were super friendly and efficient.
I just felt that it was a bit overpriced, especially the cocktails at £15 each! Delicious though but a 3 course meal with wine and cocktails, no sides for 2 was over £150.
The toilets let the place down, dirty and smelly and old fashioned - not in keeping with the style of the hotel at all

Absolutely perfect! Booked a table for dinner and could not fault it. Service was impeccable, the food was all cooked perfectly and the desserts (and I say this as a person who isn’t a huge fan of desserts) were the best I’ve ever had. All 4 of us were extremely happy. Next time, we’ll be back for an overnight stay!

Beautifully decorated, spacious bright room overlooking vineyard and fields. Dog friendly rooms with a nespresso coffee machine, complementary water and tea. Delicious breakfast, bar and restaurant offering both local and international wines, spirits and signature cocktails based on local vineyard sparkling wine. Worth every penny you spend and definitely is a place to have an unforgettable experience

Large comfortable room with excellent country views. The wine tasting and vineyard tour was excellent, entertaining and informative. Dinner was also excellent, simple food done very well. We will definitely be going again.

Stayed here for our wedding Anniversary, they went above and beyond to make our stay such a memorable one. Rooms are luxurious, fab food and really pleasant and accommodating staff. Would highly recommend.

We did the wine tasting experience and followed this with afternoon tea.
I've never done a wine tasting before and the experience was fab! We learnt about the history of the vineyard and got to taste 3 wines and were taught how to taste the wine to get all the flavours. I woukd highly recommend this!
The afternoon tea was very generous! With both hot options and your traditional sandwiches and sweets. The atmosphere was lovely and we could not fault the service.
I will definitely be returning to see what else Llanerch can offer.

Shouldn't allow dogs to sit at table with owners and be fed.
Thankfully they were some distance away.
Couldn't sit on terrace and enjoy summer evening as terrace covered in bird poo.

Llanerch Vineyard is absolutely stunning, the rooms were modern and spotlessly clean and the decor was gorgeous throughout the whole hotel.

We attending for a wedding and the staff were brilliant. The service was great for both food and drinks.

The only thing it lacks is a spa which for the price point you would expect. I would also like to see some more vegan options for breakfast.

Overall though, it was a great stay and I would come back again.

Amazing wine experience break! We had an very nice and spacious room with a great view. The wine tasting and vineyard tour was a great addition to our stay here. Dinner and breakfast was excellent, a great menu with tasty well presented dishes. All the staff were very helpful and polite. Thoroughly recommended

We booked the Wine Escape Experience and absolutely loved it and had a fun time!
Upon arrival we had a complimentary upgrade to a suite and the room and view were beautiful.
The wine tasting and walk through the vineyard was lovely and would recommend to a friend. The food in the evening and wine were lovely also and will be booking to come back!

The hotel is well situated for The Vale complex.
Rooms are large, comfortable and very clean, ours had a good view across fields to the M4 and Valley line railway.
The hotel is nicely decorated, but more business clinical than luxurious.
The service we received during our stay was good but not exceptional, many of tge staff are young, and obviously inexperienced and it was apparent that they weren't particularly well trained, for example, they were unable to answer basic queries about the menu etc.
This hotel charges a premium price for the rooms, everything else, including breakfast is charged extra. So, with no other amenities, such as a pool or gym, whilst it's a perfectly nice hotel, the price doesn't reflect good value for money.

Had afternoon tea. Absolutely wonderful, the service was excellent, the scenery was beautiful, and overlooking the vineyards.

You can eat on the patio, which is dog friendly. It is a luxury hotel, but we'll worth a visit.

Had Sunday lunch here. Food and service was great. Plenty of food! Lamb and beef so incredibly soft. Location is absolutely stunning. Took the woodland walk and watched the trout in the lake before lunch. Highly recommended

This is one of our favourite spots, mainly because we spent the afternoon and night of our wedding there and it holds many fond and happy memories for us. The staff are always kind, polite and friendly. We’ve done the Wine Tasting Tour which was informative and a good way to spend an hour or so. Food is second to none, great quality and decent portions. The rooms are fantastic. Large, well maintained and modern! Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a romantic getaway, this is most certainly one of the top places in South Wales to do that.

Llanerch Vineyard is a beautiful location to eat. We went there for a lunch. The food was so good, the wine pairing excellent, and the atmosphere perfect. The service was great as well, so helpful and not at all rushed. Not too expensive either! Highly recommend it!

We stayed for the wine escape package this weekend and it was faultless! The staff are all incredibly attentive, the room was perfect and the wine was exceptional. Jack who did the wine tasting and tour was incredibly knowledgeable whilst keeping the event light hearted and fun. The food was worth going for alone. We had a fabulous time and will be back. Would highly recommend Llanerch to anyone. My husband and I said if we weren't already married we would absolutely get married here.

Truly enjoyed our stay here. The family room is great. We has our dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food is amazing. And what can we say about the view. We had a wine tasting session and learned a lot about wines and how to taste a wine. A truly eye opening experience. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea celebrating with friends. Prompt and attentive service. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Lots of choice on the tea. Classics and new choices of sandwiches and cakes. Offer little boxes to take home any leftover cakes. Would recommend and come again for sure.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch in the restaurant with excellent service and food. The side vegetables were really surprisingly lovely. Not the usual expectation of bland, soggy veg.
It was very tasty and the whole meal was very very nice. Definitely will come back again. The service was excellent and enjoyed ourselves and the view.

The restaurant is superb, with friendly well trained staff, delightfully tasty food and located overlooking the vines.
The wine tasting tour is fairly good for the price. Our guy Jack was a bit low key and cocky, but friendly enough and extremely knowledgeable. Was a bit put off by his hands with flaking skin as he poured my wine, but poor love can't help his condition.
You taste two wines inside and Jack gives you a pointless masterclass on wine, when all you want to do is find out what their wines are and taste them. The third glass of wine we drank at the bottom of the field of vines. Need some shade in this area and maybe a couple of seats, but it was enjoyable.
Disappointed that we didn't get to see how the wine was made, even if it was via video or photos, or even explained the half a dozen different types of wine they make from the grapes. A list of wines and their prices would be good too. You get to take home a glass and they give you a nice box, but it would have been nice if the glass had a logo on it instead of giving us a box. However, it was a nice gesture.
The wine tasting was good value for the money at £20.
We had a delightful afternoon in the restaurant and wine tasting, especially as it is in a stunning setting.

We were very impressed with this place. We were given the wine scape weekend for my husband’s 40th birthday. The whole place is gorgeous and staff is lovely. We had the wine tasting with Jack and he was fun and knowledgeable. Food is amazing and so are the rooms and facilities. Definitely recommend and would love to come back one day.

Booked a birthday lunch with friends.
Service very poor and slow from the outset.
Cocktail was bitter and undrinkable so asked for some lemonade. This was done but usually you'd be asked if you'd like something else. Food was tasty except for the very overcooked and scrappy looking chips looked like the bottom of the pile!!
Had to ask twice for more water and we were only asked after lunch if we wanted another drink.
Considering it was my birthday I did not feel special, staff were very matter of fact not happy or smiling.
I also asked to have mains and dessert instead of a starter but this was refused. Most places happily allow this.
I feel it's very money orientated for this reason.
We would have had a few more drinks and left a tip but the service did not warrant this.
Cleanliness not 100% either dirty spoon and men's toilets smelt like a urinal. Not nice at all in a restaurant.
All in all I was disappointed that my Birthday was not acknowledged as a nearby table had a cake with a candle.
I would not book here again as too pricey for what we experienced.

Absolutely amazing venue! Best friends recently had their wedding reception here - the rooms were superb, amazing views, lovely staff and the food.. wow, I can honestly say their food is some of the best I’ve had in my whole life, the kitchen easily deserves a Michelin star (or two).

All round five star experience, highly recommend a visit to anyone staying in the area.

We spent a wonderful lunch with a lovely atmosphere,very friendly staff and good food.
The only disappointment was the roast beef was a little tough and a few of us struggled to cut the meat with an ordinary knife.

My 3 friends and I had afternoon tea yesterday to celebrate a 60Th Birthday . The venue, setting, and staff were all excellent . Unfortunately , the actual afternoon tea was a bit disappointing …… the volume was more than enough but the quality was unremarkable , the sandwiches were underwhelming , standard egg and chicken and the cakes did not appear home made but shop bought ??? The biggest let down was the tea ….. it was served out of hot flasks as they used to on a plane and it was like dish water . My friend who was 60 , loves a good quality cup of tea and cake …. Hence the treat.
We did ask for pots of tea and they did oblige, but I think the clue is in the title, so the tea is really important. It’s not a cheap tea and therefore I would expect there to be a choice of teas or even your own pot ? It was a big let down and for my reasons above I have only rated it 3 stars and I would not return or recommend.

Have been here for a few occasions and I will have to say I'm never disappointed. What a fabulous venue, overnight stay and food is always amazing. Very relaxing, just love it xxx

This place is insane, food is mental. Room is spacious and clean. View is incredible, my only gripe is the iron has no steam.

Our server Ellie, I believe reads minds as everything I wanted she gave to us without asking. She's amazing!

Do not stay for one night, you need a minimum of two. Can't wait to go back. It's literally the beat placed I've stayed ever!!

Stayed for a night, August 2019 for our Pearl wedding anniversary. Beautiful room, lovely food, would recommend the vineyard tour and wine tasting. Friendly staff. Fantastic service.
Also stayed for two nights March 2022 for our sons wedding. Absolutely fantastic day, cannot speak highly enough of everyone involved in making the day perfect in every way for our son and daughter in law.

My husband and I was there for lunch and we were enjoying the food so much. Great place, not far from Cardiff and really easy to get to. We will going back again soon.

Had afternoon tea and could not fault it. Really lovely selection of sandwiches, neatly presented, and patisserie along with a mouthwatering scone which was light and fluffy. I would definitely visit again

We booked lunch and a wine tasting. Avoid the wine tasting, not worth the money. Just go for lunch, which was fantastic quality and great value at £25 for starters and main. Restaurant is stunning. Wine tasting happened in a conference room where we watched a promotional video for the hotel, which seemed odd. We'd essentially paid to watch a promotional video about the place we'd already booked at. Wines were missing, but we got to keep our glasses at the end. In hindsight, wish we'd spent our money ordering another bottle of the Pink Blush Fizz instead

Llanerch Vineyard is an exemplary hotel with incredibly high standards. The rooms are large, beautifully clean, well decorated with bespoke bathrooms. The wine tour is so interesting and very enjoyable, presented by Denise who also gives you an in-depth history of the vineyard. The delicious meals are served in a very classy, comfortable restaurant with friendly and efficient staff offering first class service. The wine list is extremely impressive. The presentation of our cooked breakfast this morning resembled a work of art which included a lovely array of tomatoes on the vine. It was delicious. Everything about Llanerch oozes class, even the ducks swimming in their two woodland lakes look posh!

Delicious festive afternoon tea! Beautiful location. Disappointing that only tea included was house tea and you had to pay extra for flavoured/other tea. Also would have preferred a pot of tea and water on the table. Overall a lovely experience.

I just love it here. Brought our sister and brother in law here as her 60th gift. It was fabulous. The wine tasting was great. Our guide had been there 30 years and it was do interesting. Wine was lovely.
Food was gorgeous. The upgrades to the restaurant were fantastic since our last visit We had the luxury rooms and they were fantastic.
Staff were fab too.

Visited for 1 night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is superb. From check in to check out the customer service is excellent. Plenty of parking spaces and a few disabled spaces just outside the reception. The room was immaculate and was to a high standard well worth a 5 star rating. The food was of a very high standard and good portions. The service from start to finish was excellent and they could not do enough to ensure you had an enjoyable experience. Will definitely be returning.

We had an amazing Valentine's Day afternoon tea with a birthday voucher our friends bought us. Delicious open sandwiches and scones/ cakes/ Welsh cakes were spot on too.

I stayed here for work, and it was truly a pleasure to visit. My room was in the new section and it was fabulous, the attention to detail, the comfort and the great views were superb, it was just a shame it was winter! I was able to work and relax in comfort.

The restaurant was fantastic, even our of season it is recommended to book as both nights we're busy. The food is wonderful, we'll prepared, interested and an appropriate price for such delicious dishes. The only think I didn't try was the local wine. I guess I'll have to go back for pleasure and enjoy the delights they have to offer.

Whether you're there for a night of work or a relaxing break, they won't disappoint.

Went for afternoon tea, it was very expensive for what it was and the food wasn't worth the money. £25 per person for average sandwiches (topping on bread) and cakes. There's better value available elsewhere. On the plus side, it's a great setting

Had a delicious lunch here and a few months later a wonderful afternoon tea. Great flavours and afternoon tea was a good balance of sweet and savoury. Lovely surroundings and attentive service. Good selection of wines (not just theirs if you fancy something different). Lovely walk around the grounds to either work up an appetite or to help digestion!

Came here for Afternoon Tea and was not disappointed. Prompt and attentive service, nice decor, the vineyard provides a gorgeous setting and the Tea Service...

The Welsh can't make wine... We just don't have the weather for it!

However what they can do is create a beautiful retreat in beautiful grounds and serve...
