Located in the spectacular Welsh countryside near Chepstow and with views over the Severn Estuary, St Tewdrics House is a historic country house, which has been turned into an exclusive wedding venue.
Introduction to St Tewdrics House Wedddings
We wanted to give our couples the freedom and flexibility to create the wedding of their dreams, therefore you’re free to use any caterer and supplier of your choice. There’s no corkage fee for daytime drinks, giving you the option to supply your own, or if you’d prefer we can source them directly from our wine merchants at cost price for no additional fee.
Booking your wedding at St Tewdrics means that you will have staff on hand throughout the whole process to make sure that your wedding goes as smoothly as possible both in the build-up and on the day itself. We will take care of all the finer details so you can relax and enjoy.
Venues/Rooms for Weddings at St Tewdrics House
St Tewdrics is a fully licensed wedding venue. Four of our rooms are licensed for weddings – The Courtyard, hallway and two reception rooms. Weather permitting, ceremonies can also be held outside.
Wedding breakfasts are held in The Courtyard, which can accommodate 150 people for formal dining. With its exposed stone walls, half glass ceiling and neutral decor it lends itself to all tastes and styles. From minimal rustic charm to high glitz and glamour, the choice is yours!
Accommodation for Weddings at St Tewdrics House
St Tewdrics House can sleep up to 16 people with accommodation located in the main house and the adjoining lodge. All of our rooms are finished to the highest standard with luxury fixtures and fittings.
Our bridal suite is located in The Tower. It has floor to ceiling glass windows which offer panoramic views across the Welsh countryside and has a freestanding bath and state of the art rain shower.
In addition to the bridal suite, the house has five en-suite double bedrooms. Each bedroom can take advantage of the house’s large kitchen with its range cooker, log burner and large dining table as well as a snug full of DVDs, board games and widescreen HD.
Catering for weddings at St Tewdrics House
We want our couples to enjoy complete flexibility when it comes to planning their special day, therefore we offer a number of catering options.
We have in house caterers, Clever Chefs, who have a range of wedding menus available for our couples. They can tailor these menus to your exact requirements, and all the finer details can be discussed during your free taster session. With Clever Chefs, all linen, glassware, cutlery and crockery is included, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy!
Flexibility is the key word at St Tewdrics, so you’re free to use any caterer of your choice provided they have a 5* hygiene rating. We’ve been lucky to work with many fantastic suppliers, and with so many options when it comes to weddings, we’ll be happy to share our recommendations with you – from florists, bands to a fantastic pizza van!

Holiday Wedding Venue Prices
Bank Holidays are charged at £9,450.
New Years Eve is charged at £9,950.
Weddings during Christmas week are charged at £9,450.
Additional nights are charged at 50% of the day rate eg. hire on Friday and Saturday during peak season would be £13,925.
Whole weekend hire (Friday-Monday) is charged at £15,150.
An additional fee of £295 is charged if you are having a civil ceremony at St Tewdrics House.
Rooms can be charged individually to your guests if you’d prefer.
Such a beautiful and incredible house which naturally creates an amazing Wedding Venue. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and if I were to get married all over again, I would do it here!

My wife and I got married at St Tewdrics August 24! The moment we walked in we knew it was the venue for us ! It has the most beautiful atmosphere, a mix of contemporary and traditional. The surroundings are stunning !! Also, the guest bedrooms are just as stunning!!The team at St Tewdrics were exceptional, nothing was ever too much for them and always so professional!! Since our first visit to St Tewdrics, we fell in love with the venue and the staff were always so welcoming and friendly whenever we visited. St Tewdrics is such a special venue - I think we both knew it was where we wanted to get married within minutes of walking around inside.The wedding planning process became much easier when our lovely coordinator Sadie came on board. Sadie was super patient with us as we are quite an indecisive couple! She was always ready to answer our many questions and when our wedding day finally arrived, she made sure everything ran smoothly. If anything went wrong, we didn't know about it as Sadie was on top of everything!So many of our guests have commented on how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the day. We're still over the moon about how amazing our day was!We honestly couldn't recommend St Tewdrics enough - we're hoping to visit St Tewdrics again as guests in the future! St Tewdrics is the most beautiful and perfect Wedding venue. Everyone at St Tewdrics was lovely, friendly and helpful every time we visited.From the moment we arrived and saw the beautiful water fountain, the gorgeous building and the stunning views we knew it was where we wanted to get married. And it just got better from there. We had a relaxed vision for the day and wanted a pizza van for the evening food and a buffet during the day and they were totally on board with that from the beginning. They came up with suggestions to fill spare time during the day, such as mini golf and lawn games. They have a fantastic supplier list with superb recommendations which let you mix and match different things to build your perfect wedding.The venue itself is stunning, with classic but comfortable feel to the interior and gorgeous wildflower scenery outside. The décor is neutral but beautiful and was the fantastic backdrop for our wildflower colour scheme. We were fortunate to have nice weather and held our ceremony in the Tŷ Haf Pergola which was stunning, especially with the view over the estuary. The courtyard was also spectacular and provided a great setting for both the Wedding breakfast and partying. One thing we particularly loved about St Tewdrics was all the space, with guests moving between the house, courtyard and grounds throughout the day. Kids could have fun playing games in the gardens, guests could be found chilling in the sitting rooms, partying in the courtyard, drinking cocktails on the patios or having a peaceful stroll through the wildflower meadow. It really is the most perfect venue.The staff were absolutely fantastic. Our Wedding coordinator Niki was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A few months before our wedding she sat with us to go through the day minute by minute and she was always on hand to provide expert advice and answer our questions. On the Wedding Day itself, Niki was perfect and brought our vision to life by ensuring the day run smoothly and to time. She and all the staff were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We honestly couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding.We highly recommend getting married at St Tewdrics!

The moment we stepped foot in St Tewdrics House, we knew that’s where we wanted to spend our special day!The most beautiful venue, the most wonderful staff and with those things combined we couldn’t have asked for anything more.Our coordinator, Eliza, was amazing. Always there to answer any questions, dissolve any concerns and on the day helped the day run exactly how we imagine. She is a massive credit to the team.If we could get married again, we would 100% choose St Tewdrics.So grateful we got to spend our wedding day in such a beautiful venue.And we can’t thank Eliza and the rest of the team enough for that.

The house and its grounds are breathtaking and made for the perfect backdrop for our special day.The staff at St Tewdrics House were exceptional. From the moment we drove into St Tewdrics in 2022 we knew immediately that this would be the venue we would get married in. St Tewdrics house is incredibly beautiful and breathtaking as you drive into the grounds and this beauty is consistent through the whole venue. The staff are unlike any other, they go above and beyond. Communication throughout the whole planning process is fantastic and they are happy to liaise with other suppliers to ensure the wedding day goes smoothly.I can’t express how wonderful our Wedding day was, all staff were professional and did everything they could to ensure our day went perfectly..which it did! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we loved every single second. Our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and that it was “the best wedding” they have been to. From the first day we visited St Tewdrics house we just knew this is where we wanted to get married. Not only the house itself is beautiful, the backdrop and the grounds are a perfect setting for a dream wedding. The whole team at St Tewdrics from the bar staff, the grounds keepers and the wedding coordinators, everyone was amazing start to finish we can’t fault any of them.We would like to say a special thank you to Sadie our wedding coordinator who helped make our dream wedding day a reality, her attention to detail is exceptional. She made us feel very relaxed in the build up and on the day itself. She took care of everything, there was no stress put on us as we knew Sadie had it all covered. Sadie even helped organise a surprise visit from our little fury friends and didn’t let it slip once. ❤️🐾The whole lead up and the wedding day itself was perfect. We got married at St Tewdrics October 2023 but it’s taken me this long to write this as I didn’t know how to put into words how incredible not only the day of our wedding was but also the 16 months beforehand.Being a wedding stylist myself & going to many venues over the past 4 year, the first time I walked into St Tewdrics I said “This is where I want to get married!!”Not only is the venue absolutely stunning but I’ve got to know all the St Tewdrics team over the past few years & they were one of the main reasons I know I wanted to get married there!We can’t thank Eliza enough for making the whole process so easy and relaxing. Eliza, Lauren and all the staff at St Tewdrics on the day made sure everything ran so smoothly, our guests couldn’t praise them enough. We got married in July 2023 and there are not enough words to say how incredible our wedding was at St Tewdrics. The team (and most importantly Charlotte) were so kind to my husband and I from the first time we stepped in the door at the showcase weekend to after our wedding was complete and everything in between. Nothing is too much trouble for the team and they’re insanely organised which makes wedding planning as stress free as possible. We loved every second of our wedding day and can’t thank Charlotte enough for all she did for us for the 18 months we worked with St Tewdrics to plan our day. The venue itself is stunning and the guests loved it. We had an unforgettable day and didn’t have to think or worry about anything as Charlotte handled it all from start to finish, executing our vision better than we could have hoped and making us feel special like we were the only wedding she was coordinating. We couldn’t have asked for more from our day and our expectations were exceeded at every opportunity. St Tewdrics 100% deserve all the recognition and awards for their efforts because it is an unbelievable venue with unbelievable staff.

I cannot recommend St Tewdrics House and their fantastic staff anymore! From the very first day when Charlotte gave us the grand tour, my husband and I were gobsmacked at how beautiful the venue and the grounds was and we knew we had to lock in our wedding date straight away. Since then, Carrie and the whole team have been so informative and helpful in walking us through every step of the wedding planning process. Their experience and expertise in planning weddings really helped us settle our nerves with planning our special day. Things from catering, drinks, flowers, table arrangements and music: they were so helpful.On the wedding day itself, Carrie was brilliant in co-ordinating the entire day. She made sure things run on time and smoothly. Personally, I loved how at one stage of the day she told me and my husband to go upstairs and take some time out one-on-one to savour the moment. A big thank you to Lauren and all the staff at St Tewdrics House for all their help and support since the moment we first enquired, the process of wedding planning and of course our wedding day.Lauren made the whole process as stress free as possible! We felt so confident and relaxed knowing us and all of our guests would be in the best of hands on the day. All the staff went above and beyond, making sure everyone was happy but also being discreet and ensuring the day flowed smoothly.The venue is beautiful, no matter how many venues we viewed - nothing compared to St Tewdrics! The grounds are stunning and we are so happy that we were able to have an outdoor ceremony and make the most of the wildflower meadow in the sunshine. The new addition of the bike made some great photos too! We loved that each bedroom had a different character feel. All of our guests complimented how lovely the venue was! We cannot recommend St Tewdrics House enough - wish we could do it all again!!

Our son and daughter-in-law hosted their wedding reception at St Tewdrics in early September this year. It was stunning in every way. The staff are friendly, welcoming, discreet, and nothing was too much trouble. Food and service top notch. The house is simply beautiful. The grounds equally so, especially the wild flower meadow. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Can't recommend St Tewdrics highly enough. From the moment we arrived to the next morning on leaving it was outstanding. Thank you to all.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Eliza our wedding coordinator and all of St Tewdrics staff for our perfect wedding day.From the very beginning of our journey, nothing has been to much trouble.No question was stupid and we always felt guided and supported by all staff.The venue is absolutely stunning, with charming features and modern interior it just screams elegance. We fell in love with the venue as soon as we visited and knew it was perfect for our special day.The venue is so clean, well organised and you feel totally looked after. The rooms in the house are perfect for mingling with guests. The courtyard is beautiful and fit my wedding theme so perfectly with sky lights it gives an inside outside feel. The bedrooms in the house are beautiful all so different but so elegant.When we met Eliza at our 3 monthly meeting me & my husband both came away feeling we were in safe hands. We felt that Eliza fully understood our vision and would do everything to make our wedding day perfect. Eliza was so professional and had every single detail of our wedding down to the hour on our planning guide.No email was ever left unattended, I never felt I was being a burden with my countless emails & questions to Eliza & the team.Honestly I don't think our wedding day would have been as perfect as it was without Eliza.I was so nervous about the running of the day, but Eliza was there every time me and James needed reassurance or guidance. We have been praised for choosing the most beautiful venue & guests have complimented us on how amazing the food, setting, running and overall atmosphere of the day.Me & James feel so blessed to have married each other at St Tewdrics house.A day we will both never ever forget and cherish forever.We laughed, cried, smiled and danced the whole day and night away. The most incredible venue!We were luckily enough to get married at St Tewdrics on the bank holiday weekend in August and we could not of picked a better venue for the best day of our lives.The house, gardens and bedrooms and are simply beautiful, a true fairytale venue. The wildflower meadow was stunning and everyone loved the swing and bike in the gardens! A perfect place to get married. All of our guests were blown away and all commented on it being the best venue they had been too.All the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful.A massive thank you in particular to our wedding coordinator Charlotte, she made sure the day ran so smoothly and was so helpful from day one, we can not thank her enough.

Carrie and the team could not have done more to make our special day perfect. Beautiful venue, amazing attention to detail, wonderful staff (big shout out to Carrie for being utterly brilliant before and during the wedding itself). Really well-organised, they really know what they're doing and really quick responses to any queries we emailed over. Beautiful venue for the most beautiful weddings. Huge building will lots of different rooms, light flooding through everywhere. Back onto a spectacular field which is clearly well maintained and provides a good backdrop for photos. Lovely staff on the bar serving for the evening portion of a recent wedding. Food was great too.

Fantastic night at St Tewdrics House celebrating Cass Hayward LLP 40th Birthday on Friday - 26th May 2023. We were aware that the venue hosted weddings, but being able to host our event here was great - with plenty of options available for catering and entertainment. Everyone who helped us arrange the evening and those present on Friday were brilliant and thank you all for your help. It was also good to support another Chepstow business!

We got married at St Tewdrics House 15/3/2023. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue. The staff are so helpful, in particular Charlotte, our wedding planner. From the moment we stepped in to view the venue, the months leading up to our big day, and the day itself Charlotte was amazing. She was always there to help and advise, and everyone made our wedding day run so smoothly.We loved that we could have the venue the day before, and it made our wedding even more special. We had our humanist marriage ceremony & reception at St Tewdrics on 16th February 2023, it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Charlotte was our wedding co-ordinator for the day and was supportive from day one, no question was too silly or request was too much.We'd decided to do a few things differently for our day including vow bingo, a wedding breakfast photo dash, sparklers and a costume change for first dances. All this was met with enthusiasm and excitement, making us confident that we could work out some tricky logistics with ease.On the day Charlotte was always nearby; how she managed to keep us on time, keep us calm and generally just be absolutely wonderful is a mystery and a magical skill! I couldn't recommend St Tewdrics and the rest of the team more highly, the way they create an exciting journey and provide an utterly amazing service for one of the most important days of your life is outstanding.

From the time I entered the St Tewdrics gate I knew this was the venue for me. We got married at St Tewdrics at the start of August and it was beautiful! Not only is the venue gorgeous but the staff were amazing! Charlotte was so good at helping us with every question along the way and guiding us when we needed it. The day was so smooth without a hiccup, it was prefect and relaxed, and we got to have our handsome pooch there to join us! Couldn't recommend enough!

What an amazing place St Tewdrics House, so glad we decided to have this as our wedding venue. Lauren has been an absolute star sorting everything out for us, over the last few years what with covid as well , they’ve all been fantastic keeping us well informed of everything that was going on. The place is so beautiful and we had our wedding on June 6th 2022 the sun was out and it was an unbelievably beautiful day, even though it rained earlier in the morning. Lauren arranged all my favours and sorted the tables and flowers out and was really more than helpful throughout it all ,we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator. If you are looking for one of the best wedding locations in wales look no further, excellent service, excellent people and an excellent location. Thank you all at St Tewdrics House 🥰

Only a short visit for the father of the bride to be able to see where he's walking his precious daughter down the aisle, but greeted warmly by the lovely St Tewdrics staff Charlotte & Carrie. So looking forward to having our daughters wedding at this beautiful venue and sure we will be well looked after and guided on this important day.

My wife and I got married at St Tewdrics back in November. We had the most amazing day, so many of our guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was. Big thanks to our coordinator Carrie was was absolutely amazing! Can't recommend the guys at St Tewdrics enough, go see them!

We had our wedding at St Tewdrics in September 2021 and it was incredible from start to finish. Right from the first enquiry email the team were so helpful and responsive. We had to postpone our wedding by three months and they were superb throughout the whole process.The venue was everything I had ever wanted, classy, modern, clean, great layout and beautiful surroundings. It has made the most of all its historic features while being modern and decorated beautifully. It's a great blank canvas for whatever theme you wish to go for. Our wedding coordinator Lauren was just amazing from start to finish, our day flowed so smoothly and she was always on hand if needed.Worth every single penny and so many of our guest have commented on what a great place it was. Not sure where to begin to explain how fantastic this venue is! The most beautiful house, gardens and ceremony room is only made all the more special by the incredible, hardworking and accommodating staff that work there. Our wedding day was perfect, we can never thank Lauren and all the staff enough for making all our dreams come true- nothing was too much trouble and she helped all our ideas turn into reality. Guests were all so impressed with the efficiency of the staff of St Tewdrics and Clever Chefs, and suppliers were also so complimentary.For all the special touches, professionalism and help, we cannot thank you enough. Best venue and best day ever!

There are no words to describe how amazing this venue is! St Tewdrics should be at the front of everyone’s list of places to get married. The staff are incredible and cannot do enough for you to make your day the best it can possibly be! The venue is absolutely stunning and perfect in all weather at any time of year!

The whole team at St Tewdrics were incredible from the first email we sent to them, through to after the wedding. My husband and I were married here on the 1st October 2021 and our wedding coordinator, Carrie, and the whole team helped make it the most perfect day. We didn't have to worry about a thing. I honestly can't recommend this venue enough to anyone looking for an absolutely stunning venue, with a professional team running it. It really was the best day of our lives!

I don’t know where to start with thanking Carrie and everyone at St Tewdrics!!What an amazing venue & Carrie made everything so relaxed, straight forward & perfect!!!Our guests are still talking about the venue now! We visited most venues in South/West Wales and were just blown away as soon as we drove up the drive of St Tewdrics! Everything about it is just amazing! The neutral colour scheme throughout, the amazing grounds and the beautiful bedrooms!Nothing was too much trouble for Carrie! We were lucky enough to get married one week after restrictions lifted and Carrie made sure to keep us updated ASAP so that we could let the rest of our guests know if they could come! She always answered our emails as quick as possible and was so informative!Everything ran so smoothly on the day and we knew that we could trust Carrie if any questions arose! Big shout out for calming Sion down on the morning too🤣.Also a special mention to the groundsman who everyone thought was amazing (our florist, our guests the next morning and ourselves). Hilarious and informative!!Thank you all so much for the most perfect day💓

Had an amazing first time at a wedding here today, everything was 1st class from start to finish, our table had a young waiter named Finn who catered to all our needs and went above and beyond. He was a credit to you and I would 100% recommend your services to family and friends.

Nice house. Ridiculously expensive. Facilities need tweaking. Lovely venue for a wedding but you need very deep pockets! Not easy to find as signage to venue poor but easy access from M4. Lovely outdoor space.
